Storm insurance
Storm-, floating ice- and/or mist coverage
With winds of 7 Beaufort (14 metres/second) the skipper can decide to stay in the harbour for one or more days. For this you can take out a so-called storm insurance. This insurance even pays out when due to storm, floating ice, or mist you have sailed for only 2 hours (maximum) between 9.00 and 21.00 h.
Costs (excl. Policy costs)
May till September: 2% of the rent of the ship
October till April: 4% of the rent of the ship
