Consequential Loss
When you, as the tenant of a sail- or motorboat without skipper, inflict damage on charter ship, which result into the ship being unable to be hired out for a certain period of time, you can be charged for the rent that is missed out on. (See also article 10 lid 1 of the Hiswa Algemene Voorwaarden Huur en Verhuur Pleziervaartuigen).
With the consequential loss insurance of the Vaar Vakantie Polis (Sailing Holiday Policy) you are insured for this risk as well. This insurance applies only to sailing trips in the Benelux.
The insurance covers the deposit you will have to pay at departure as well, up to a maximum of € 2.500. (The insured liable to pay 15% of the deposit).
