Discover Holland’s culture, and pay a visit to the villages and towns in the area of the IJsselmeer. Walk the island Marken, for example, wearing wooden shoes, or visit the fortress island Pampus, or take a conducted tour through a famous eel-smokehouse in Volendam.
Of course it is also possible to pay a visit to Amsterdam, capital city of Holland, and to discover its museums: the maritime museum, the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh museum, etcetera. You could also decide to sail the famous canals.
